Gaines Gospel
Morning Lord! Morning All! Psalms 23:1"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want". A shepherd leads His flock and Jesus is our shepherd and we are His sheep. He leads us to where we need to go, He guides us in the direction we need to take, but if we don't follow where will we end up? If we follow our Shepherd we will want for nothing, yes there will be problems but God will see us through. He will give us courage and the strength we need to endure and conquer whatever we're facing. I pray we let God take the lead and we follow. I pray our day is safe & blessed, in Jesus' name. Amen! Standing on God's promises. Live, love, laugh, and pray! You Are Blessed!

In The Eyes of A Child
In The Eyes of A Child
When you look into my eyes
what do you see?
like the child on a Christmas morning day
who just received many of Santa’s toys?
by the fact that she does not know
her real father, but she is about to lose
the only man that called her his daughter?
because she was taken by the children’s welfare system
when her mother fell into depression and became insane?
from all the burdens of hurt and pain
that could had been prevented
if she had a strong caring family?
who is mentally trying to understand
why she is suffering from physical and sexual abuse?
Not only by her evil caretakers
but also by the ones who placed her into their hands
the children’s welfare system partakers?
Do you see a child whose innocence is shatter
who was forced into a code of silence
like a slayed pig with an apple in its mouth
placed onto a shiny silver platter?
and tell me what you see….
that was with joy, pain, hurt, and confusion?
Because the child you saw in my eyes
is now the woman that you see right now
and her name is Me.

Morning Lord! Morning all! Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Do we know that we have the power to receive what God is trying to give us but some of us won't seek Him for it & take the necessary steps to get it. Pray, seek God, chase God, trust God, have faith in God, let go of... the past because it can't be changed, forgive people & yourself, don't feed the negative by not paying attention to the positive. God will give us everything we need we just have to trust Him even when we don't see results. I pray God blesses us abundantly & we use our power & trust God so we may receive what He's trying to give us. I pray our day is safe & blessed, in Jesus' name. Amen! Standing on God's promises. Live, love, laugh & pray! You Are Blessed!

My Story
Chontate Brown remembers her life as young as two-years old. She reveals how her “perfect” life changed instantly overnight. The morning her family was evicted from their apartment marked the beginning of a spiral that tossed Chontate and her two brothers into separate homes, faced to accept physical, sexual, mental, and emotional abuse.
Chontate
uncovers the untold story of herself- she expresses heartfelt details of her
mother’s absence after her mental breakdown. In the world as a child surrounded
by poverty on the Southside of Chicago, Chontate was broken, challenged by
adults, and bullied by children.
Before
she knew God, she knew no one. In her words, she reveals how the light of the
Lord lit her path and guided her, and her family out of darkness.
